Applicants must be Delta Community members enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university in the United States during the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.

Scholarship applications must be received by March 1 and winners will be announced in early April. Visit DeltaCommunityCU.com/Scholarships for full program details.

HBCU Scholarship Application Period Open

Delta Community HBCU Scholarship

In addition to our annual Scholarship Program, our first HBCU Scholarship entry period of 2024 is now open and will run through April 28. Thanks to listeners of V-103 and attendees of their Winterfest concert last December, we are giving away an additional $5,000 scholarship in 2024 for a total of $25,000 in scholarships to five deserving students of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). If you know an exceptional student attending an HBCU or a graduating high school senior who has received an official acceptance letter to one, tell us why they deserve to receive a $5,000 scholarship! You may also nominate yourself. Delta Community will select three winners to each win a $5,000 award from among the most compelling submissions. Visit DeltaCommunityCU.com/HBCU for more information and to apply!

Delta Community Do More in 2024 Youth Challenge

The "Do More In 2024" Youth Savings Contest is a fantastic opportunity for Sandy Savers and Cool Cash Kids to visualize their financial goals and win prizes! We are accepting entries through February 29, and we'll select ten winners, based on creativity, to receive a $100 deposit to their Youth Savings Account.

Philanthropic Fund Grants Awarded in January

Delta Community Philanthropic Fund recipients

We recently presented the first four grants from our 2024 Philanthropic Fund, totaling $35,000 to the following organizations:

Johnson STEM Activity Center, pictured, received $10,000 for their Robotics Residency Initiative. This program is designed to provide Atlanta robotics teams an exclusive workspace equipped with state-of-the-art tools, materials, technology and mentorship necessary for building, coding, strategizing and practicing robotics. This initiative aims to support students from elementary through high school, fostering their interest in STEM fields, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Leap Year, Inc. received $10,000 for their mission to equip elementary and recent high school graduates with the tools to achieve their academic and leadership potential. Through their literacy coaching program, Leap Year increases literacy scores and encourages a greater interest in reading among first and second-graders while helping prospective first-generation college students prepare for success.

Wellspring Living was awarded $10,000 for their Women’s Academy, designed to equip victims of human trafficking to attain living wage employment. Key services include mental health support, life skills, adult education, career readiness and case management. With 70% of participants being young mothers in poverty, the WA provides transport passes, meals, childcare stipends and housing assistance. The Women's Academy aims to provide 100 women access to their Financial Health Series through the National Financial Educators Council to empower them toward financial control, resilience and a brighter future.

Project Healthy Grandparents received a grant of $5,000 to go towards their mission of improving the health and well-being of families in which grandparents are raising their grandchildren in parent-absent homes. PHG’s comprehensive services include monthly visitations by registered nurses and social workers, parenting education classes and support groups, legal service referrals and developmental services, including early intervention, for young children.

The Delta Community Philanthropic Fund will invest a total of $150,000 throughout 2024 to 20 metro Atlanta non-profit organizations that support the physical and financial needs of people who live within the communities we serve.

Confirm Your Current Contact Information

Have you recently moved or changed your phone number or email address? It’s a good idea to make sure that your contact information on file with Delta Community is always up to date. We must have your current mailing address to send new, or replacement, debit and credit cards, federal tax documents, account statements or letters about your account that require your attention. It’s also very important that we have record of your best phone number and email address so we can quickly contact you if there's a problem with your account, such as alerting you to possible fraudulent activity.

Did you get married, have a child or make another life change this year? Now is also a good time to update your Payable on Death beneficiaries on your accounts. By assigning beneficiaries, should the unthinkable happen, your loved ones will have clear direction on how you would like your finances distributed.

To update your personal information, log in to Online Banking, select the Account Management tab and choose Update Personal Information, select More in the Mobile App or stop by any of our branches.
