Delta Community Helps Collect Truckoalds of Supplies for Hurricane Survivors

Delta Community Convoy of Care

In October, Delta Community, in collaboration with WSB-TV, made a significant impact in helping families affected by Hurricane Helene. As part of WSB-TV’s Convoy of Care disaster relief initiative, Delta Community offered two of its branch locations—Stockbridge (Eagles Landing) and Newnan (Highway 34 East)—as drop-off points for donations.

The community's response was overwhelming, with enough supplies gathered to fill three tractor-trailers at Delta Community’s branches alone. Items collected included essential cleaning supplies, tools, paper towels, trash bags and personal hygiene kits. These contributions were part of a larger effort that resulted in nine trucks being loaded with vital supplies for hurricane survivors.

The donated items were distributed to communities in Valdosta and Augusta, GA, as well as other areas hardest hit by Hurricane Helene, helping families rebuild and recover after the devastating storm.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the members who took the time to contribute to this important cause. Your generosity has made a real difference in the lives of those in need.
