Overdraft Protection Service
Prevent Insufficient Funds
What is Overdraft Protection?
Overdraft Protection is a service that uses the funds in your other qualified Delta Community Credit Union accounts to cover insufficient funds in your Checking Account. Overdraft Protection is one of our Account Protection tools which also include Courtesy Pay and Courtesy Pay Plus. (Recommend adding Overdraft Protection is not available for SpendSafe Checking™ Accounts.)
What are Qualified Accounts for Overdraft Protection?
By other qualified accounts, we mean your Delta Community Credit Union:
- Savings Account
- Money Market Account
- Visa® Credit Card
- Line of Credit
More than one account can be used to cover your transactions. You choose which qualified accounts you want to link to your qualifying Checking Account other than your Savings Account, which is automatically linked.
What are Eligibility Requirements for Overdraft Protection?
There are no eligibility requirements unless you want to link a Visa, Overdraft Line of Credit or Personal Line of Credit, which are dependent on credit approval.
Does Overdraft Protection Cost a Fee?
There is no fee to set up Overdraft Protection for your Checking Account. However, there are fees associated with each overdraft transfer. Visit our Fees page for more information.
Looking for Overdraft Protection?
It’s really simple. You can call us at 800-544-3328 or visit one of our local Credit Union locations, and we’d be happy to help you.
